MONUMENT ISLAMABAD
The Pakistan Monument is a national monument and heritage museum.
It is a Beautiful Monument that is located within the Western Shakarparian Hills in Islamabad (Capital of Pakistan). The main reason behind the construction of this beautiful sight (as you can see in the picture above) was to give a majestic view of the Unity within between the Pakistani people. It is located within the Hills so that the elevation will allow it to be visible to the population across the Islamabad-Rawalpindi metropolitan are. By the way the same location has become a great and popular Tourist Attraction over the years.
Within the grace and beauty of the monument you can see that is looks like a Flower about to bloom. Specifically, it has been made with 4 Great Big Petals and 3 Smaller in size Petals, inside of each o these petals it beholds another sight of beauty.
Talking about the Petals, the 4 Large Petals represent the 4 provinces of Pakistan which are Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Sindh. Don’t forget the three smaller ones since they represent three territories of Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and the Tribal Areas.
The best part is very close to the hearts of every Pakistani, as it is placed in the center of the petals as the core of the Flower. The Platform is made as a 5-pointed star surrounded by a body of water. Other than that, a Crescent made of Metal surrounding the star is inscribed with sayings of the Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam and Poetry by Allama Iqbal.
That is just the beginning of the Beautiful Sight your eyes will be grasp in a visit to this beautiful sight. Walk into the Museum and give yourself the chance to see a couple of things such as mentioned below:-
⦁ Wax Museum showing events that led to the Pakistan Monument adjoining it
⦁ Reference Library
⦁ Audio-Visual Archive
⦁ Conference Hall
⦁ 62 Seat Capacity Auditorium also called the “Panorama Hall”
Amazingly this Monument gets about an average of 1500 Tourists per day as I was told. The Important timeline of this Monument is as follows:-
⦁ A Skyview look at the Monument looks like a star, and the Petals as of a flower look like the Crescent of Pakistan’s Flag.
⦁ The Foundation stone was placed/laid in on 25th May 2004
⦁ The Monument was completed in 2006
⦁ It was inaugurated on 23 March 2007 by President General Pervez Musharaf.
As History tells us, in 2005 there was a competition on Monument Design. It was based on the theme of Signifying Strength, Unity and Dedication of the People of Pakistan into a vision to show and Independent and Free Nation. Finally, the design your eyes are pleased to see was made by the winner of the competition Mr. Arif Masoud.
The Visit in total was a breath-taking sight and pleasure to the mind filling it with knowledge about how my Country is a Blessing for me. A visit I won’t be able to forget but rather advise all my Friends to take with their Families or Friends, or even Visitors from a Foreign Nation.
This evening view is mesmerizing, communicating so much peace and contentment.I loved this sight and could not hold myself. I felt so connected with this scene. This depicts so much patriotism.Night view was even more fascinating.
This is real beauty. It was a pleasurable Trip filling me with Pride to be Part of such a Beautiful Nation, Pakistan.
